Role and Responsibilities

  • Writes receipts for monies received in the office.
  • Balances cash received against receipt books; prepares bank deposits.
  • Greets the public, answers the telephone, takes messages, and provides general information to visitors and callers as requested.
  • Picks up mail from the post office; delivers packages to the post office for mailing and prepares mail to go out each day.
  • Responsible for purchasing office supplies and maintenance of inventory of those items.
  • Responsible for ordering and picking up food for Board meetings.
  • Runs errands for office personnel as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

May also periodically perform the following:

Assist managing the monthly close process and all related tasks

• Monthly Financial Reporting

Reconciliations of accounts receivable, cash, Accounts Payable

Daily bank reporting

Assist with annual audit

Assist in development and adherence to internal controls

Backup to the Accounts Payable/ Payroll

Assist with special projects as needed


Qualifications and Education Requirements

Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Must be well organized and a self-starter, work independently and be detail oriented.

Provide professionalism when working with citizens, vendors, and employees.

Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, strong problem solving skills

Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Educational/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited school.
